Among the many objects Edward Eberle loved to throw were teapots! His teapots, as you can see, are quite abstract. Made from a combination of pieces of clay, this work is a great example of how Eberle liked to push the boundaries of how ceramics can be presented to the world; by taking a typically functional ceramic object such as a teapot and taking away it's practical functionality, Eberle is showing how ceramics can be present in the fine art world, not just functional art.

In 2013, Ed uploaded a video of himself throwing a teapot in just 3 minutes. In the caption, he writes:
"...The challenge is to throw and assemble a teapot inside of three minutes AND to have FUN."
