"To Hephaestus"

In August of 1990, Edward Eberle documented the making of a floor vase artwork in his Millvale studio. Titled "To Hephaestus", this 50 minute VHS video was edited in camera. Throughout the film, Eberle takes viewers through his artistic process all the way from forming coils to unloading the kiln. The finished artwork amassed to nearly 6 feet in height! As you'll see in the video, working with art of that size is no easy task. Luckily, Edward shows us all of his maneuvers to work on his large pieces such as this one.
